The Scanning to PDF module for infoXpert provides
automated high speed batch scanning of paper based documents into searchable PDF files. The
Scanning to PDF module is designed with a clear interface without lots of distraction, providing
ease of use with minimal learning curve. High speed OCR converts scanned paper into searchable PDFs
that can be found using infoXpert full text searches.
The resultant scanned documents can be quickly uploaded using the
infoXpert Workbench module, or automatically imported using the "Hot Folders"
service running on the server.
Scanning to PDF features include:
- Batch scanning - can be configured to auto-detect document
separators so that multi-page documents can be scanned together as a single batch
- Duplex (double sided) scanning support
- Filename generator - Automatically generate the PDF file name
based on date, incremental system assigned ID, etc.
- High speed OCR– converts scanned paper into searchable PDFs
that can be found using infoXpert full text searches
- Document profiles - create and maintain separate scanning
profiles for each document types
For increased functionality & features (including Forms
Recognition) customers can choose an alternative scanning software package to suit their
requirements and budget.

Ezescan from Outback Imaging. It is available with a wide range of features and
modules including:
- Supports scan-enabled digital photocopiers via TWAIN, FTP or
folder import Import TIF, PDF, JPG, GIF, BMP from File, Folder (multiple levels deep), Email
(POP3) or FTP
- Delete Blank Pages
- Deskew – one or all pages
- Despeckle, crop and erase borders
- Option to add an audit stamp to the first page of each scanned
document
